I was told the initial code was to replace a part, which I agreed to. Then after that part was replaced I was told the code continued and there was a second part that needed to be replaced. Then it was explained that the warranty would not cover the first part since it didn’t fix the problem. The receipt stated the initial code indicated to replace part #1 and if code continued to then replace part #2. Had I been told this up front, I would have asked to replace the $200 part first and not the $900 one. It is shady business practice to replace the more expensive part then say it’s not covered under warranty since a second, cheaper part was also needed. If the code said both parts may need to be replaced, then the warranty should cover both parts.
